Restaurants, Grocery Stores, and Breweries are now allowed to add “Delivery Available” or “Take Away” to their business name on Google My Business (GMB). Once you are back to operating normally, you will need to revert back to your company name.
With so many businesses closed or close to the public, you should update your information accordingly. Here there are two main options. These can be found on the Info tab.
- Mark your business as temporarily closed
- Set Special Hours
Setting special hours may be the option you will want to choose for now. Marking your business as Open again may take a bit of time for Google to process. With Special Hours, you can list each day as closed, or have different hours than your normal schedule.
You can also Create a Google Post as well. Google My Business has a special COVID-19 Update section in Google Posts for keeping your customers updated.
Note: to make these changes, you will need to have ownership/access to your own Google My Business Listing.
