Alternative Web Browser Mozilla Firefox
If you are looking for an alternative browser to use besides
Internet Explorer or Netscape, then you may want to try Mozilla
Firefox. I was never a big fan of Netscape's browser. It never
succeeded in taking me away from Internet Explorer. Lately I have
been reading up on Mozilla Firefox and a friend also mentioned it to
me and said that its a great alternative to Internet Explorer. So,
I decided to install it. One option that I extremely enjoyed was
that I could import my preferences (bookmarks, cookie preferences,
etc) and there was no messing around. What won myself over to
Mozilla Firefox was that there is an option to install extensions so
you can personalize the browser and settings more to your liking.
For myself, I like using the Google toolbar and seeing Google's
PageRank. One added feature is the Alexa Ranking feature that is
included as well. A few of the extensions that I have tried out so
far are Googlebar, User Agent Switcher, and GooglePreview. The User
Agent Switcher is really interesting as you can make out your
browser to emulate any robot. Its one possible way to check for
sites that might be cloaked. As if writing this, there are over 100
different possible extensions such as developer tools, chat, games,
page display, appearance and blogging just to name a few categories.
It is certainly worth checking out, and there is a good chance that
you will be using Mozilla Firefox on a more regular basis and
enjoying it much more than Netscape or Internet Explorer.
