Clueless SEO's and Unsolicited Commercial Email

Just recently, SEOConsultants.com just release a new section in their directory and its all for Clueless SEO's. This is for SEO's who use automated link exchange requests and/or canned link exchange request. As mentioned on SEOconsultants.com, this is classified as Unsolicited Commercial Email. I think this is a good move on their part. If the SEO's that are currently listed on the site took the time, they would of realized that SEOConsultants.com is a paid directory where the companies are reviewed. Now why do they think a little ole link exchange will change things just for them. As you are seeing, the clueless has already set in with them.

Here at Manning Search Marketing, we get similar emails for link exchange requests. But the ones that are just a tad bit more clueless for us are the companies wanting to outsource their work while its mentioned on our contact page that we do not require any. It is clearly mentioned on the contact page that we do not require any outsourcing of "link building, website marketing (including SEO), Design or PPC management". Now even with this on the page, and they have to scroll over this to get to the contact form. But still, the emails do keep coming in.

Now why would a reputable search marketing company want to hire search engine marketers that cannot simply read and follow the requests of the website they are considering contacting for the client they are working on? In the end, if you do outsource your work, such as link building for example, it is important to follow the rules and requests for each website. Hiring a company that does not follow this can look bad on your company and your clients as well, and the last thing that you want to do is make your clients company look bad to its potential customers.
