When starting a business, it is vital that you start a business plan. The business plan outlines every possible aspect of your proposed business venture. It is in essence a prepared guideline to achieving your goals. You need to take everything into consideration, the planned time to reach your goals. Just as you will need a business plan for your regular business, this is needed for your online business as well.

In addition to designing my site and writing the content, one major task that I took on was preparing a Business Plan. Why? Because I want to be as prepared as possible, and consider all possible risks that are involved and look at the big picture of the project. It made me consider different marketing aspects that I might of missed otherwise.

Having a business plan prepared enables you to see the whole picture and realize that its not all going to happen overnight, but with having a good plan prepared, you are one step closer to achieving your goals.

If you do not have a business plan done, it would be a good idea to start on it. There are many great resources, the government is a great resource for finding some information to help as well as many entrepreneur sites specializing in helping those with starting their business.
