Reports are showing that more and more Small & Medium sized
businesses are taking advantage of search marketing these days
by going online and getting their business products/services on
the net.
From a study by Interland as reported by
InternetNews.com, they are showing that small and medium sized
businesses are taking advantage of their websites and working on
their search marketing campaign, improving their rankings/traffic
from the organic/free search engine listings. With small and medium
sized businesses that use some form of online payment options, 82%
reported to generating profit from their websites.
So, what are they using? Number one is email marketing with 60%,
second was search engine optimization at 54%, 27% used online
coupons, and 20% used pay per click ads (such as Google Adwords or
Yahoo's Search Marketing program).
It is advisable for any company looking to expand their reach to
look into getting on the net. Getting up to speed with search
marketing and making good wise and educated decisions is a must. You
need to do your research, have a SEO friendly site, one that will
not scare away customers and a long-term plan of action for
starters. Just like any business starting up, its going to take time
to get things rolling. The better you understand SEO (Search Engine
Optimization) or search marketing, the better off you will be in the
long run with reasonable expectations.
