1. How many years experience do you have?
Gerard Manning, president/CEO has been working in the internet marketing SEO field since April 2000. Manning Search Marketing is a newly formed Canadian Search Engine Marketing company by Mr. Manning as of January 2005.

2. How many projects have you been involved with?
Since April 2000, Gerard Manning has worked on well over 100 plus campaigns in a wide variety of industries from small mom and pop sites to large corporate websites. He has been involved in the setup process, keyword analysis for 100s of companies in a wide range of industries, to managing the full accounts for their marketing success.

3. What kind of guarantee do you offer?
We stand behind our service and work 100% and are confident that your site will see improvement. It is important to not get caught up in blind guarantees that can be misleading. Our goal is to make your site perform to its potential. With every plan purchased, we will prepare a special overview for your site to better inform you on what to expect. We offer month to month contracts on all our packages.

We aim to better inform you on the search marketing industry and to fully disclose all work that is done on your website and that it will meet the guidelines of the search engines.

4. Are there different payment options for the setup fee?
There are 2 options available to help with the payments with your allotted budget.

  • Setup fee in one lump sum (first month) regular fee starts 2nd month.
  • Setup fee broken up over 3 months plus the regular monthly fee

5. Where will the work reside, and who will own the work?
The work will always reside on your server. Any content or pages (including title and meta tags) developed will be your property once payments are completed.

6. How often will reports be available?
Reports are available on a monthly basis to inform you on the progress of your marketing campaign. If you require different reporting options, these can be discussed.

7. When should I start to see results?
With organic SEO, results are not instantaneous and at times it can take months for results to appear. There are many factors that come into play with the organic results. For more information, please see when to expect results.

With PPC, results are instantaneous  and dependant on the allotted budget that you provide. Once the budget runs out, the sponsored listings will no longer show.

8. What type of submissions to you use?
All submissions are done manually. No automatic software will be used for the submission of your website.

9. What Tactics will you use?
No dangerous tactics will be used in the positioning of your website. It is important to look at the long term focus of your marketing campaign, and no quick tricks will be used to increase your rankings in the search engines that will cause your website to be banned.

10. What about your prices, What sets you apart from the competition?
With Manning Search Marketing being a small company with very little overhead, we are able to devote more time to your account. While our pricing may seem similar on some of the higher packages, we are able to devote more time on a monthly basis to help make your online business get that extra push you deserve.

11. What About SEO practices and the code of ethics in Search Engine Marketing?
Manning Search Marketing is a member of SEOPros.org and the SEO Consultants Directory (seoconsultants.com) both of which require the firms to be reviewed for inclusion and follow their Code of Ethics for SEO.

12. I don't have a website, where do I start?
If you are new to the world of internet marketing and you do not have a website, it is highly advisable to contact a search engine marketing firm to advise you on what to do next. Of course you will need a website, but you need to make sure that it is search engine friendly. Virtually every SEO firm would rather you help you out before hand, as this can save you much time and money. Far to often website owners have come after the fact with websites that need additional work done in order for their site to be properly found on the search engine results page.
